On a beautiful farm just outside of Fayetteville, I attended a plein air workshop. This is my first piece of the workshop. I was thrilled to find such calm reflections in the water, and I based the composition loosely on a series that Monet did of the same subject. If I lived on that farm, I think I'd paint this scene as a daily exercise. It was lovely even on a gray and rainy day!
