Learn to paint, draw, sculpt and create with professional artist, Katie Wall Podracky. We'll work in Katie's own studio with a small group of students. Projects will offer students the chance to build artistic skills, experiment with different art materials and to increase their self esteem.

Our class will include mini-art history lessons and lots of hands-on creative time. We can also work on special art projects and portfolio building for Weaver Academy or other art magnet schools. Katie's studio includes access to a pottery wheel and a small kiln.

Katie Wall Art will be featured in the art market of Chapel Hill's Festifall on October 3, 2010. I am thrilled to offer a brand new series of summer classes for children with special needs. Special needs classes are for students who enjoy drawing, painting and playing with clay. Talent is not necessary, but is certainly welcome. The only requirement is a desire to play, learn and have fun! We realize that every child has different skills and needs and we are here to celebrate those with projects tailored to each individual.

Each lesson is $25.00 with all supplies included. We ask that one caretaker or parent stay with each student to enjoy the experience and help with the art projects.

Beginning Saturday, June 26, my work will appear in The Depot gallery of Gaston County Museum of Art and History in Dallas, N.C.! The work will feature new oil paintings and will be exhibited through July 26, 2010.
