Feb. 4 -- Valentines Day Stained Glass Drawings! Well trace our hands and hearts on paper first. Then using color, form and pattern, well create beautiful Valentine art that resembles stained glass windows.
Feb. 18 -- Photo Collage Day! Well make fun paper collages about ourselves and those who are special to us. Bring pictures of yourself, family members, pets or friends if you like. Well put them all together to make a special keepsake collage for you.
March 4-- Make A Kite! Well make kites using construction paper and a variety of materials and then well decorate them! If its pretty outside, we can have a flying contest at the end of class. These kites are easy to make, so you may be able to create more than one.
March 18-- Crayon Etchings! This is a fun project that anyone can enjoy. Younger children are fascinated at the mystery of this project and older kids can create very detailed and beautiful etchings. First well create thick colorful crayon drawings, and then well cover them with black before scratching out a drawing.
March 25 -- Easter Bunny Pop-Up Cards! Create your very own Easter Bunny Pop-up card using paper, scissors and glue. Embellish your scene with Easter eggs and other fun drawings.
April 8-- Spring paintings! Its that time of the year again
flowers bloom, birds chirp and all the green starts returning to the landscape. Well make paintings of spring subjects on artist canvas to celebrate the season!
April 22 -- Bean Mosaics! Well learn about the ancient art of mosaics and then create our own versions using colorful beans. Think of a very simple drawing for this project. Good ideas are pet pictures, self-portraits or landscapes.
