Marsh Painting Workshops at Figure 8 Island Yacht Club

Join me in the most beautiful classroom in the entire world: Figure 8 Island Marina and Yacht Club! Together, we will create soothing colorful marsh views with oil paint while we sip wine and gaze off into the colors of North Carolina’s low country landscape. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies and lunch at the club are included. Bring a sense of humor and some clothes that can get a little messy. Just don’t wait too long to reserve your spot because these go quickly and space is limited. Welcome sweet summertime! I’ll see you there with some new tan-lines an umbrella in my drink!

Thursday, June 23, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., We will paint “Meander” a marsh view exploring periwinkle sky subtleties and grasses tinted with the colors of happy ice cream sherbet. If you’ve ever wondered how to loosen up your color palette and how to paint a sunset without making it look “cliche,” this is a workshop you don’t want to miss!

Friday, June 24, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., Come paint “Away,” the marsh view inspired by that first day of vacation— when possibilities are wide open and stress just melts right off your back. In this piece, we continue our colorful marsh play and add in textural exploration with brushwork and a little palette knife painting too.

To register for workshops, please call or text Kathy O’Brien at 336.707.7476.

$175 per student with all supplies and lunch included.
