Framing
I recommend framing prints and most originals to enhance and protect your art investment. I offer limited professional framing options for clients who prefer ready-to-hang art shipped to their door. For clients who prefer a broader selection I recommend a handful of great framers both locally and nationally. Many of my prints come in standard sizes that can be slipped into ready-made frames from popular retailers, and some original paintings can be left unframed based on personal preference. Full Service Framing For Prints
All prints may be framed professionally by selecting a frame choice with your print at check out. Canvas prints are framed in float frames that allow the beauty of the canvas print to shine without putting it behind glass. Paper prints are framed behind glass or acrylic. If you prefer a canvas print with a float frame, it’s best to select that option at check out so that your print is custom made to work in a float frame straight from the printer. If you order a print with a white border and take it to a different frame shop for your float frame, the framer will likely need to use some of the image of the print when framing it in a float frame. This can impact the final image and the signature. If you order the print with a float frame from my website, these issues will be taken into account during printing and your print will not lose any of the original painted image or artist signature visibility.
Large Original Paintings
If your art is larger than 32 x 40 inches, or you prefer to frame the art yourself, I highly recommend a local framer for the job. In Greensboro, N.C., I love to work with Irving Park Art and Frame. They have a beautiful selection of high-quality frames and options to meet different budgets and style preferences. I frequently bring large paintings to them (like this 48 x 60 inch abstract painting) and my clients are delighted with the end result.
Full Service Framing with Shipping for Originals in the U.S. Or D.I.Y. Print Framing
Original Paintings: Original paintings sized at or under 32 x 40 inches can be framed and shipped to your door, ready to hang with an online framing service. Original art listings will include options and details if this service is available. This can be an incredible value if your purchase requires shipping, as the shipping is included in the price of your frame. For medium and large paintings, this service can save you several hundred dollars in shipping, depending on your location. Currently, I can offer this service in the Continental U.S.
D.I.Y. Framing for Prints: If you’d like to frame a print with an online framing service, order the print from my website, ship it to your home and then you can use an online framing company to frame the print. I have had great success with Framebridge and they stand by their happiness guarantee and have excellent customer service. They offer beautiful wood frames in many finishes and options for very reasonable pricing.
