Signed by the artist, dated on the back and wired & ready to hang, this painting features a soft nostalgic posey of pale pink peonies. Sunlight kisses the petals in the light, illuminating them with a rosy glow. Periwinkle and lilac shadows softly recede into painterly textures of the background. This painting is a smaller study of the large 48 x 60 inch showstopper, but it still packs a breathtaking wow that would fit into a smaller space. The petals were so luscious, they were worth painting twice!
Note: Pictures of this painting with Katie were taken before the final painting session. Be sure to take a close look at the final piece to see what it truly looks like. It’s gorgeous before, but it’s even more gorgeous after. The colors taken inside look a bit darker than the actual painting to my eye. The true colors are closer to the thumbnail and the images taken outside in natural light.
